BMW X3 xDrive20i and coming versions xDrive35d

The BMW X3 is enriched with two new engines that are located respectively at the base and at the top of the list. The new units will be presented at the forthcoming Frankfurt Motor Show 2011 and will be marketed in the X3 range in autumn. The BMW X3 xDrive20i will be the new entry-level version, but already brilliant enough for those not looking for ideas to be record-holder.

Thanks to the twin-scroll turbocharger, four-cylinder petrol engine delivers 184 hp at 4800 rpm and 270 Nm of torque at 1250 rpm / min. Other features include the standard Start & Stop system, the electronic system and Valvetronic variable valve lift 6-speed manual transmission (the automatic 8-speed option).

The BMW X3 xDrive35d instead becomes the new top version with 6-cylinder in-line with starvation double charged: an output of 313 hp and a constant torque of 630 Nm between 1200 and 2500 rpm. This engine is matched to the standard 8-speed automatic transmission.
