Alfa Romeo: New delay for return to North America

Fiat CEO Sergio Marchionne has expressed some concerns about the new Alfa Romeo Giulia, postponing the debut of at least six months. This decision forces the Alfa Romeo brand to further delay the landing in North America, expected in mid 2012 and now "graduated" to the beginning of 2013. This was announced by Automotive News citing sources within the brand.

The delay is attributed to the presence of Giulia cosmetic defects and smudges in the details of production, so evident as to cause a revision of the current project. In particular, Marchionne has been shown not to accept the assumptions of style for the body, signed by the Centro Stile and soundly rejected.

The future of the sedan remains subject to the choice of the still unknown production site.
