BMW X3 xDrive20i and X3 xDrive35d

From next autumn, the BMW X3 will be available with the new engine 2.0 turbo petrol and 3.0 turbo diesel engine, identified by the initials X3 xDrive20i and X3 xDrive35d. The Sport Activity Vehicle Bavaria will therefore as a new engine to access the four-cylinder TwinPower Turbo 2.0-liter, turbocharged technology, twin-scroll and equipped with the technology Valvetronic, with electronic variable valve lift and the Start & Stop system, combined with both the six-speed manual to automatic reports that eight (optional).


This unit delivers 184 hp at 4,800 rpm / min and maximum torque of 270 Nm from 1,250 rpm / min. The inline six-cylinder diesel-powered turbine instead uses a double and delivers 313 hp at 4,400 revolutions / minute, well supported by constant 630 Nm between 1,500 and 2,500 rpm. This unit has - as mentioned - two rotors, a more compact and lower rpm for a more "robust" when the right pedal sinks, while the common rail injection system operates at a maximum pressure of 1,800 bar.

The X3 xDrive35d is available with automatic transmission only eight reports.
