Peugeot concept hybrid petrol and 508 for China at the Shanghai Auto Show

Upcoming Shanghai Motor Show, Peugeot will have two important innovations, the 508 for the Chinese market and a concept car designed entirely in China and destined to lead to a debut novel hybrid gasoline. The French, having regard to the potential of the local market, has decided to bet on strong China, and announced that it will propose a new model every year there.

For the 508, which in Europe has exceeded 20% of its sales targets, Peugeot provides 65,000 sales annually in China: two 508 sedan will be manufactured and sold in the Asian country. The Peugeot range in China, which already includes the 3008, will expand further on 20 May with the launch of the RCZ.

When fully operational, the supply of the Lion is called to reach a volume of 200,000 units in 2011 in the country.
